A lever is any tool that
helps you pry something loose. Some examples of levers are the claw end of a hammer that can help you pry nails loose or a
hand shovel that helps remove weeds. The lever is probably the most common simple machine used today. A good example of how
the lever works is a see-saw. If you and one other person are on the see-saw and the other person is heavier than you, his
side is always on the bottom part. But if you move the bottom part of the see-saw (the fulcrum) towards the heavier person,
you will most likely be the person that is higher.
